Dutch Blood Transfusion Society (DBTS)
Welcome to the website of the Dutch Blood Transfusion Society (DBTS). The DBTS has been erected on December 12, 1978 and aims to improve the quality of blood transfusion medicine in the Netherlands.
The DBTS realizes its goal by gathering and exchanging information in the field of blood transfusion medicine, by documenting and publishing this information for its members by means of a newsletter, and by organizing scientific and educational meetings. Once every year the DBTS organizes a research symposium (called "Onderzoeksdag") which covers all aspects of blood transfusion. The society keeps open relationships with other organizations and societies active in the field of blood transfusion medicine, both on a national and an international level.
Membership of the DBTS is open to anybody active in the field of blood transfusion or to anybody with interest in this field. At present, the DBTS has about 500 members.
